Rome Tour Guide | Giovanni Giammei

The Best Tour Guide in All of Rome

The Best tour guide in Rome I am most certain is Giovanni Giammei. He is more than a licensed tour guide, he is an educator, a student of architecture, an authority on Etruscan civilization and the history of the Catholic church, a native of Rome, and now, a friend.

Licensed Tour Guide

Regulated by Italian law,  professional tour guides are required to pass an exam in their province or region of residence.  This requirement verifies that your tour guide has the knowledge of the city, its architecture, history, museums, and monuments as well as churches and art galleries. Such a prestigious title is bestowed on only those qualified to perform such tasks.

When in Rome

I met Giovanni on a recent visit to Rome. I visit the eternal city several times a year, usually in search for the best places to stay and the most authentic food to eat.  This time I experienced Rome through the eyes of a Roman.  Giovanni took me to HIS city, secret places, making my work a truly memorable escape!

Who is Giovanni Giammei?

Giovanni  is a native of Rome and a graduate of Architecture at the Univerity La Sapienza in Rome.  He became professor of art history, educating high school students about the rich history of  Rome.  His fascination with sculpture led Giovanni to attend the School of Crafts S. Giacomo where he studied Plastic Arts Technics.  Then he choose to follow his father in the family tradition of showing tourists Rome the way it should be seen, through the eyes of a Roman.  His obsession with Etruscan civilization, Giovanni continues to attend classes and lectures on the subject.

Why use a Licensed Tour Guide?

The typical tourist visits Rome once, maybe twice, so making the most out of your time there is essential.  A tour guide will make sure you visit all the major attractions from the Imperial Rome of Julius Caesar to the city of Popes and Artists.  And with a private tour guide there is no need wait in long lines for hours.  You’ll still have time to visit the secret passageways and alleys, have lunch in a typical Roman restaurant, living like a Roman all the while you are there.

More than giving yu a guided tour of Rome, Giovanni wants to give you a true Roman experience, introducing you to the sights and delights of the Eternal City.

There is so much to do in Rome, not just in the ancient city but outside the walls where many of us never venture; such as the beautiful city of Tivoli with its famed gardens.  No need to worry about where to go, how to get there, or waiting in lines.  You will see and experience much more in four days with Giovanni can you could ever hope on your own.  All his  guided tours are tailor-made and completely flexible.

Giovanni provides first class service from the time he greets you at the airport, train station, or port, till the time he says “Arriverdeci”.

Bravo and Grazie  Giovanni Giammei!  I can’t wait to see what you have in store for me on my next visit to Rome.
