Why Italy?

Susan Van Allen, author of 100 Places in Italy Every Woman Should Go and I will give you the answer to the question “Why Italy“?

We are celebrating La Dolce Vita at Harry’s Wines and Spirits  in Brentwood.  Susan will be signing her new book, Letters from Italy: Confessions, Adventures, and Advice, an entertaining collection of one woman’s travels throughout Italy.  It’s a delightful  little book, an evening read.  Susan will tell you more about it on Thursday, February 28, 5:30-7:30 PM.

 I will be joining Susan and sharing some delightful memories of my most recent trip to a very diverse region of Italy, Friuli Venezia Giulia (FVG) (See map).  This northeastern region borders Slovenia and Austria and overlooks the Adriatic Sea.

We’ll also be tasting and learning about the culture of FVG’s local white wines: Prosecco, Pinot Grigio, Friulano, along with some reds: Merlot and Refosco.
